Only 12 km from Mostar, the Buna River, is a magical small town of Blagaj, medieval town of Hum state in which the mid-fifteenth century created today Herzegovina. With the ruins of the old city or the Tower of Herceg Stjepan, (of these lands before the arrival of the Ottoman Empire in 1465), which was built in a strategic location, on the cliffs above the Buna, offers a beautiful panorama of the Neretva valley, a picture that justifies an hour of climbing on top of the ruins.

In the vicinity are: House Velagic (beautiful example of Ottoman residential architecture from the seventeenth century), the Mosque of Sultan (built oko1520.), Karagozbey bridge, built on the river Buna, which dates from 1570, and the Hammam built between the sixteenth to the seventeenth century. On the right bank of the river, in a beautiful script what only nature can be realized, is located in this building houses dreviša from the sixteenth century, which seems to float between rock and water; for centuries it was a place of prayer and meditation.

Tekke, open to visitors throughout the year, is one of the most important examples of Islamic sacred residential architecture culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Blagaj, with its antique Fortress, the splendid landscape and spectacular source of the Buna is one of the treasures that should not be bypassed by passing through this region.
